Kari T. Autio, ABIGFINN

Kari has worked in NMR/MRI field for 40 years. He has extensive experience in supporting MRI customers in site planning, project management, pre- system installation planning, system installs as well as post installation support. 
Prior to forming ABIGFINN, Kari worked at Agilent Technologies as Global Site Planning and Installation Manager for MR systems. With additional work experience of over 30 years with Varian Associates, SISCO and Varian Inc. as a senior customer support engineer. 

Since forming ABIGFINN, Kari has consulted on systems across the U.S., Canada and in Europe

Associate Ernest W. D. Wong, Ph. D

Ernest has over 20 years of experience in RF coil design and manufacturing.

He is the inventor of the well-known "Millipede" coils and the author of the review article "Millipede coils" in the Encyclopedia of Magnetic Resonance.

He is the founder of ExtendMR, and worked at Agilent Technologies Inc. as an expert R&D researcher. Recipient of the 2011 GIGRP award from the CTO office. Prior to Agilent, Ernest spent 14 years at Varian, where he designed and built over 500 custom-made RF coils. Ernest is also a member of ISMRM and the inventor of 20 US patents.

WHY ABIGFINN?

Kari Autio, is A BIG FINN – a Finnish American who has spent over 40 years providing customer support for MRI systems globally. Unable to recall the whirlwind which has been the extent of his travel, he summarizes as saying, he has been everywhere, including a recent trip to the Godi desert. He may not recall every place he has worked but does recall each system and the great teams he continues to meet. ​
